Other upcoming things:
Trumpeter/composer Ryan Garmoe is finishing production work on a quintet session we recorded last August. Lineup was Ryan Garmoe, Chris Jensen, Nick Leo, Nolan Schroeder, and Blake Shaw.
My band In Rooms has been working on a new full length album. Most of the tracks feature really wonderful woodwind arrangements by Tim Sanders. We’ve been doing this in stages for a while now and I’m really excited to finish it.
In Rooms will also be participating in a web series called Upstairs Iowa. Part performance/part interview.
I will be one of the judges at the Tallcorn Jazz festival 2/14-15 at the University of Northern Iowa. Guest artist this year is the drummer/educator/clinician/bandleader Carl Allen.
I’ll be participating in the recording of Iowa City-bassist/vocalist/composer Blake Shaw’s new album this March.
Currently helping to engineer and co-produce a recording with the Cedar Valley-singer/songwriter Nichole Young.
